Pudina Rice

This is a refreshing rice dish pudina itself used for refreshment

When u prepare this receipe the home is full of a refreshment smell.

The ingredients part

1 cup rice

1/4 cup grated coconut

2 green chillies1 inch ginger piece

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 garlic cloves(optional)

1 cup pudina leaves

1/4 cup peanut and cashews

1 bay leaf

2 cardamoms

1 inch cinnamon stick

3 cloves

1 star anees flower

salt to taste

2 tsp oil or ghee

water as per the rice u have taken

if basmati taken then 2 cups rice

if other than basmati taken then according to that water will be added


Make a paste of pudina leaves,coconut,ginger,green chilly and little water.

Heat oil in a fry pan, add all spices.

Then fry penut and cashews to golden colour.

Now add chopped onion and a pinch of salt.

When it becomes traslucent  add pudina paste,stir for 2-3 min.

It change colour to dark green.

Now add rice n water to this.

After 6-8 min your pudina rice is ready.

Serve this with raita .
