Hi friends papaya other name is amrit
why it is named amrit there is a short story behind this
While distributing the amrit to Devtas some drops of amrit fell on the papaya tree so it is believed that if we have the papaya in our daily routine we also get long life…so u can tell thins story to your kids and let them have this
2 cups raw papaya peeled n cubed
1/4 cup moong dal
2 big garlic cloves chopped
1/4 cup milk
salt to taste
2 tsp sugar
water for boiling the papaya
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp udad dal
1 red chilly
10 to 12 curry leaves
2 tsp oil
Fry the moong dal in medium flame to golden colour.
Now in a pressure cooker take raw papaya,moong dal ,water n salt. Give two sities.
Remove the lid. Make it cool down.
Now add the milk n sugar to this.
In a fry pan heat oil , then saute garlic till it turns golden brown n then dd mustard seeds , red chilly , udad dal n curry leaves.
Add this to papaya mix.
Have this with rice and dal.
