In Maharastra it is eaten with pav alled as vada-pav but in Odissa with out pav .
Ingredients
For stuffing
2 medium boiled potatoes
1 medium onion chopped
1 green chilli chopped
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp dhania powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
For Batter
3/4 cup besan
pinch of ajwain
pinch of soda
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
pinch of black salt
salt to taste
water to make thick batter
OIL for deep fry
Procedure
Mash the boiled potatoes.
Mix all the ingredients properly and make small balls.
Now make batter mixing all batter ingredients the batter should be thick.
Heat oil ,take one ball dip in the batter and deep fry in medium flame.
Fry till golden color .
Serve this with green chutney or sauce.
