Making of Upindi Rawa
Soak rice for 4 hrs.Drain whole water n dry the rice completely on a cloth for 1hour so that it will broken inside.
Now grind it rough n seive it so that powder form will be removed from the granules part.
Dry these rawa for 1 hour and store it .
or the other method is
u can use idly rawa but keep in mind the rawa should be thick coarse
1 big onion sliced or 15 shallots cut into two pieces
1/4 cup french beans
1/4 cup cauliflower
1/4 cup carrot(optional)
1/4 cup potato
1/4 cup corns(optional)
1 n 1/2 cup tomatoes
5 green chili slitted
1 tsp ginger paste
15 green peas
1 n 1/2 cup upindi rawa
3 cups water
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 n 1/2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp udad daal
1 tsp chana daal
1 whole red chili
pinch of hing
10 curry leaves
salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Heat oil,add chana daal,when it turns golden color,add mustard seeds.
Wehn it start crackle,add cumin seeds,udad daal,whole red chili,curry leaves,green chili n hing.
Now add onion or shallots with salt.
When it turns pinkish color,add all veggies except tomatoes with turmeric powder.
When its half done,add tomatoes n saute for 1 min,cover the lid for 5-7 min.
Now add water with garam masala.
When it start boiling add the rawa with salt n mix well.
Make flame high,when it start boiling,make flame low n cover this for 6-8 min.
Now turn off flame,add chopped coriander leaves n mix well.
Serve with pickle…u can take this for one day trip also…
